The Muslim Women who Convert to Islam Need the Khilafah
News:
On the 10th of October 2024, the Telegraph Newspaper reported that a British Muslim convert, Aisha Amalou, claimed she was dismissed from a care home near Dundee, Scotland because she wore the religious head covering, the Hijab.
Comment:
It is very common for Muslims to remember the needs of the Muslims being oppressed by the global attack against Islam. The brotherhood of the believers is well-known;
“And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.” [Aal-Imran:103].
However, we must not forget the tests of the new believers when they also face the persecution of belief in Quran and Sunnah. The female converts have a real challenge when they are visibly expressive of their allegiance to Allah (swt). They can be identified clearly when they wear the Hijab and Islamic dress code. This makes them an open target for abuse and harm when the enemies of Islam want to make an example out of them and punish them for their “freedom of choice”.
Of course, the targeting of the new Muslim women is a sickening contradiction in the freedoms and liberal policies that women have the best treatment and opportunities in democratic systems. We can see that the reality of harassment, economic and social punishments is widespread globally in many countries that feel they are the world-class measure for human rights.
The sisters who are new to practicing Islam are in need of protection and guidance just as much as the established Muslim women. In some ways, they may need more because they often have no men to protect them from their own families and may find themselves abandoned completely. They also need the System of the Khilafah (Caliphate) to teach them and maybe help them find good husbands and/or environments. All of the rights afforded to them for their pious behavior are unfortunately denied to them in the current climate of hatred and attack on the Deen.
We pray to Allah (swt) to grant these sisters the best of the rewards and patience in their tests as they reject the rotten fruits of liberal democracy and turn to Allah (swt) for their dignity and success, Ameen.
