Education Policy is for Building Aware Islamic Leaders, Not Lip-service Within a Two Stream Education Sector

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Mohammad Yousaf said on Saturday 17 May that groundwork to introduce Arabic into the curriculum, as a compulsory language up to the senior secondary (SSC) level, has been completed. Speaking to the press at Wah Cantonment on Sunday 18 May, the minister added that the project would be initiated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) before being phased into other provinces. This move by the regime is in response to the overwhelming desire within the people for Islam. Many parents are concerned at the Western values being forced down their children's throats and are increasing pressure for Islamic teachings. However, the regime's response is mere lip-service, for the education policy in Islam is far more comprehensive than just using the Arabic language and has profound implications for Pakistan, which is crippled by a two stream education sector.

Pakistan's colonialist education has divided empirical sciences from Islamic education to form two separate streams of education, main stream schools and madrassas. The current education seeks to produce on the one hand "worldly" people, who do not hold Islam as a world view, and on the other, a clergy that was not able to apply Islam to practical life. This dichotomy has led to a decline in our thinking, the adoption of western concepts, the development of western sentiments, the loss of competent ulema, intellectuals and sincere politicians. And that is why people cry that there is a "vacuum in leadership."

In addition to two streams of education, both streams have incorrect teaching methods, a focus on abstract rote learning, rather than conceptual development, by linking thoughts to feelings in a way that matters are vividly clear. It is this which has led to a departure from rational thinking which was the hallmark of Islamic civilization for centuries.

Only the Khilafah "Caliphate" will solve the problem from its root, with a unified powerful stream of education. In its Introduction to the Constitution, Hizb ut Tahrir has adopted in Article 173 that, "The goal of teaching all of this knowledge in the school stage is to build the Islamic personality of the student, and to prepare the student to enter into the realm of practical life, or to prepare the student to continue higher studies in order to create distinguished personalities, which are necessary to raise the intellectual and scientific level of the Ummah, and to prepare it to lead the world to take all the people from the darkness of disbelief to the light of Islam, and from the oppression of man-made law to the justice of the Shari'ah law".

Islam mandates an education policy for the development of dynamic, sincere and aware Islamic personalities. Thus the Khilafah "Caliphate" cultures people by Islam in a manner that they are able to apply Islam in their political as well as individual lives. And they know the purpose of their life in this world is to worship Allah (swt), rather than divorcing Islam from political life. This ensures that the sons and daughters of the Ummah look to their Deen to provide solutions to the problems the Ummah faces, economically, politically, internally and externally. It is this that allowed an Islamic civilization that was a beacon of light for over a millennium. The state produced brilliant sons and daughters, pioneers and leading authorities in fields as diverse as mathematics and medicine, jurisprudence and astronomy. Arabic language, the official language of the Khilafah "Caliphate", became the mark of the educated men and women of the world. And the cities of the Khilafah "Caliphate" were the favored destination for education of the European elite.

RasulAllah's (saw) Dealings with the Qurayshi Mushrikeen Gives Vision for Dealing with the Mushrikeen of the Hindu State

On Monday May 20, the Raheel-Nawaz regime's High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit, said, "In the vision of our foreign policy, it is the top-most priority. Peace is in our mutual interest and peace can be achieved only through peaceful process, that is through dialogue process... as neighbours we have no option but to talk to each other and normalise relations for mutual benefits."

The Raheel-Nawaz regime so called vision appears completely at odds with Pakistani public opinion regarding the rise of BJP in India. Countrywide, the Muslims are talking about the dangers of the Hindu regional aspirations, the mistreatment of Muslims in India and also the bigoted nature of the Hindu state, which compelled Muslims to seek partition in 1947.

A visionary leadership would look at the same situation from the angle of the dominance of Islam, inspired by the example of RasulAllah (saw) in his dealings with the mushrikeen Quraysh of Makkah, who were eventually defeated and assimilated into the Islamic State. Like the mushrikeen of Quraysh, the Hindu mushrikeen hold a fragile leadership with a tendency to collapse. The Hindu regime's leadership is based on bigotry to the point that there are a myriad of secessionist groups, which seek the division of India itself. The Hindu state is incapable of providing security and prosperity to non-Hindus or even Hindus of lower castes. And it is viewed by other smaller states as undeserving of regional leadership.

Like Qurayshi Makkah, the Hindu states trade routes are dependent on the Muslim state in its north. RasulAllah (saw) fully utilized the strategic position of Madinah over Makkan trade routes to isolate and weaken Makkah, ahead of its conquest. Today, not only are the Hindu mushrikeen dependent on Pakistan regarding trade routes, India is energy starved and desperate for the huge gas and oil reserves with the Muslim Lands. In addition, to concrete steps to unifying Muslims Lands that encircle India, the Khilafah "Caliphate" can incite all non-belligerent non-Muslim states of the region to cut off opportunities for Hindu mischief by offering favourable relations and incentives with the Muslims. And the Khilafah "Caliphate" can initiate a regional media campaign about what the Khilafah "Caliphate" has to offer for its citizens, irrespective of race, gender, religion or school of thought. Thus, the Khilafah "Caliphate" will undertake political manoevring to isolate and weaken its enemies, through actions on the world stage. In article 189 of the Introduction to the Constitution, Hizb ut Tahrir has adopted, "States who have economic, commercial, good neighbouring or cultural treaties with our State are to be treated according to the terms of the treaties ... The economic and commercial relations with such states must be restricted to specific items and characteristics which are deemed necessary and which at the same time do not lead to the strengthening of these states."

It is upon the Muslim armed forces to uproot the Raheel-Nawaz regime and grant the Nussrah to Hizb ut Tahrir to secure the return of the Khilafah "Caliphate", as the deserving leadership for the region. And then the forces will be led by a Khaleefah Rashid who will lead you to fulfill the destiny of Islam, which is dominance over all other ways of life. RasulAllah (saw) said,

«عِصَابَتَانِ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَحْرَزَهُمَا اللَّهُ مِنْ النَّارِ عِصَابَةٌ تَغْزُو الْهِنْدَ وَعِصَابَةٌ تَكُونُ مَعَ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَام»

"Two groups of my ummah Allah has protected from the Hellfire: a group that will conquer India and a group that will be with ‘Isa ibnu Maryam (ahs)." [Ahmad, An-Nisa'i] Abu Hurayra (ra) narrated,

«وَعَدَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَزْوَةَ الْهِنْدِ فَإِنْ أَدْرَكْتُهَا أُنْفِقْ فِيهَا نَفْسِي وَمَالِي فَإِنْ أُقْتَلْ كُنْتُ مِنْ أَفْضَلِ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَإِنْ أَرْجِعْ فَأَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ الْمُحَرَّرُ»

"The Messenger (saw) promised us the conquest of India. If I was to come across that I will spend my soul and my wealth. If I am killed then I am among the best of martyrs, and if I return then I am Abu Hurayra the freed (from sin)" [Ahmad, An-Nisa'i, Al-Hakim].

Talks and Operations Should only be for Ejection of the American Crusaders from Afghanistan

Shelling by the Pakistan Army's gunship helicopters and fighter jets in the early hours of Wednesday 21 May killed at least 50 tribesman and injured another 80, some critically, in several parts of North Waziristan. The operation comes after US demands for the same and the return of Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif from Afghanistan after a meeting with the Americans on Monday 19 May 2014. And this operation comes amidst several weeks of on again, off again talks with the tribesman.

North Waziristan is a major obstacle in the practical realization of America's ambitious, long-term plan to stay on the doorstep of the Muslim World's only nuclear power, Pakistan. Since 2001 until now, North Waziristan is the launching pad of the fiercest and most well planned resistance to the American occupation of Afghanistan. Crippled by economic collapse, political crisis and a military paralyzed by fear, America is reduced to demanding Pakistan's armed forces to "do more," whilst raising prominently the dismantling of the Haqqani network of North Waziristan. Moreover, to prevent the natural unification of the Muslim military, intelligence and tribal people as one force against its occupation, as happened in the time of the Soviet Russian occupation, America is using its divide and rule tactics. American intelligence and private military are working day and night to launch "false flag" attacks in the name of the tribal Muslims, against the civilian and military, to create Fitnah and turn Muslims against Muslims. And as the Muslims count their dead from military officers, soldiers, police, ulema, doctors, lawyers and general masses, the traitorous Raheel-Nawaz exploits the bloodshed to launch attacks on North Waziristan.

This Fitnah situation can be turned around by a sincere leadership within hours. Pakistan's Muslim tribal people, military and intelligence all share the love for fighting in the way of Allah (swt) against the kuffar enemy oppressors, denying them of any help, support or alliance. For Allah (swt) said,

((إِنَّمَا يَنْهَاكُمْ اللَّهُ عَنْ الَّذِينَ قَاتَلُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ وَأَخْرَجُوكُمْ مِنْ دِيَارِكُمْ وَظَاهَرُوا عَلَى إِخْرَاجِكُمْ أَنْ تَوَلَّوْهُمْ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّهُمْ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ الظَّالِمُونَ))

"Allah forbids your alliance with those who fight you because of your Deen, and drive you from your homelands, or aid others to do so: and as for those who turn to them in alliance, they are truly oppressors." [Surah al-Mumtahina 60:9].

And He (swt) said,

((يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَاتِلُوا الَّذِينَ يَلُونَكُمْ مِنْ الْكُفَّارِ وَلْيَجِدُوا فِيكُمْ غِلْظَةً وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ))

"O you who believe! Fight those of the Disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty ‘unto Him'." [Tawba 9: 123].

Thus, the Khaleefah will call upon all Muslims to turn their weapons upon the real enemy, the American crusaders. This will rally all the Muslims together, whilst exposing clearly hypocrites in the ranks whose loyalty is to America and its war of Fitnah. As for talks, they cannot be for cessation of fighting the against the American occupation, for that is prohibiting a duty mandated by Allah (swt). Rather the talks can only be for planning the uprooting of the American presence from Afghanistan and Pakistan. RasulAllah (saw)

«الصُّلْحُ جَائِزٌ بَيْنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ إِلَّا صُلْحًا أَحَلَّ حَرَامًا أَوْ حَرَّمَ حَلَالًا»

"Reconciliation amongst the Muslims is permissible, except a reconciliation that permits the Haram or prohibits the Halal."

Democracy is the Obstacle to the Implementation of Islam

Council of Islamic Ideology (CII), on Wednesday 22 May 2014 endorsed its earlier ruling that girls were eligible to be married, "if the signs of puberty are visible." On March 31, the Sindh Assembly passed a resolution demanding dissolution of the CII and on April 28, the Sindh Child Marriage Restraint Bill, 2013, was enacted, which prevents marriage under the age of 18 and punishes those who make violations. It can be asked, If marriage is forbidden under the age of eighteen, what will the young men and women, who wish to get married before then? Under Democracy are they not "free" to do so? On the one hand, Democracy prevents marriage and on the other hand it incites our young men and women to commit fornication through imposing mixing in schools and spreading corruption through the internet, cable and festivals. So are our youth only "free" to disobey Allah (swt) under the current system?

More fundamentally, the deficiency in the current 1973 Constitution is highlighted through this controversy. The constitution does not deny the existence of the Creator nor does the constitution deny Islam, however, the constitution does not make the Quran and Sunnah the source for its legislation. The Qu'ran or Sunnah has not been used to derive any of the 280 articles of the constitution. Rather, these 280 articles are a consequence of human thinking and judgement alone, irrespective of any reference to the Quran and Sunnah.

Consequently, man is the source of legislation and not the Quran and Sunnah. Indeed as stated in Article 2 of the constitution, Islam is viewed not as a divine source of legislation but merely as "the state religion of Pakistan". This is no different from the view that many secular Western states have of the Christian religion. Other articles further confirm this secular view of Islam as a personal religion for its citizens; according to Article 31(1) the state acts only as a facilitator for its citizens "to order their lives in accordance with the fundamental principles and basic concepts of Islam".

Hence the state is not obliged to implement Islam but only to allow its citizens to practice Islam in their personal capacity if they so wish. Consequently, the state is purely secular in its treatment of religion.

As regards the Objectives Resolution of 1949, which preceded the drafting of the constitution, this was made part of the constitution in 1985 in an attempt to realign the constitution with the vision of its ‘founding fathers.' However, this inclusion has not changed the secular nature of the constitution because in fact the Objectives Resolution is itself secular. The Objectives Resolution begins with the proclamation that ‘sovereignty over the entire universe belongs to Allah Almighty alone' but then proceeds to adopt a purely secular approach in the implementation of this sovereignty. The Objectives Resolution fails to declare the Quran and Sunnah as the source for legislation but instead transfers Allah's sovereignty to the ‘Constituent Assembly'. The Objectives Resolution empowers the Constituent Assembly to legislate by whatever it sees fit without referring to the Quran and Sunnah when devising the law. And regarding the CII, Article 227 of the constitution provides for all existing laws to be brought in "conformity with the injunctions of Islam" but even this article gives the ultimate say to the assembly and not Islam.

Only the adoption of an Islamic Constitution will end these contradictions, controversies and confusions. In Article 1, of the Introduction to the Constitution, Hizb ut Tahrir has adopted clearly and unambiguously, "The Islamic belief ('Aqeedah) constitutes the foundation of the state. Hence, nothing is permitted to exist within its entity, its structure or its accountability or any other aspect connected to it, unless the Islamic 'Aqeedah is its basis. At the same time, the Islamic 'Aqeedah acts as the basis of the constitution and Shari'ah laws; thus, nothing related to the constitution or to the laws is permitted to exist unless it emanates from the Islamic 'Aqeedah." Thus in the Khilafah "Caliphate" no law or constitution can be passed unless it is derived from the Quran and Sunnah. The 191 article constitution itself is accompanied with the evidences from the Quran and Sunnah which establish its articles. The whims and desires of the Council of the Ummah, the Khaleefah or any other individual or group has no effect whatsoever. Only then can the concept of Soveriegnty of Allah (swt) be realized.

Callous Regime Spills Muslim Blood to Secure American Raj

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Saturday 25 May 2014 about the ongoing air strikes against militant hideouts in North Waziristan said this ‘limited military action' was in line with the policy that calls for a calibrated and measured response to acts of terror against civilian or military targets.

For several long years, the Pakistan Army has been ensnared in a war within the tribal areas, which is accompanied by a barbaric campaign of bombings and assassinations. This calamity is the direct outcome of successive traitorous regimes' alignment to America in foreign policy. Specifically the US policies of low intensity conflict and covert, "black" operations have created havoc in Pakistan. The regime allows the existence of US assets for launching black operations to incite the armed forces to drag the armed forces into conflict, whilst the regime submits to demands for the low intensity conflict in tribal areas. It is this low intensity conflict which destroys internal stability, strains capability, strangulates potential and justifies repeated American interference to demand that the Pakistan Army "do more." The only beneficiary is America, whose occupation of Afghanistan is made securer through such Fitna.

Thus the regime is fully responsible for turning Muslims against Muslims to protect America, even though Allah (swt) said in the Noble Qur'an,

((وَمَن يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِناً مُّتَعَمِّداً فَجَزَآؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ خَالِداً فِيهَا وَغَضِبَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُ عَذَاباً عَظِيما))

"And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell to abide therein, and the Wrath and the Curse of Allah are upon him, and a great punishment is prepared for him." [Surah An-Nisa'a 4:93]

RasulAllah (saw) said, «سباب المسلم فسق وقتاله كفر»

"Abusing the Muslim is an aggression and fighting him is disbelief." [Al-Bukhari, Muslim]. And RasulAllah (saw) said,

«إذا التقى المسلمان بسيفيهما فالقاتل والمقتول في النار»، قلنا يا رسول الله هذا القاتل فما بال المقتول؟ قال «انه كان حريصا على قتل صاحبه»

"When two Muslims face each other in fighting and one kills the other, then both the killer and the killed are in the hell-fire." The Companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah, this is the killer - what about the poor person who has been killed?" The Prophet, (saw), said "He had the intention to kill his companion." It is high time that the Khilafah "Caliphate" is reestablished which will value the blood of Muslim and eradicate the US presence from Muslim soil.

Nawaz Sharif Offers India a Chance to Wreck Our Power Supply, After Our Water Supply

On his first official trip to India as prime minster, Nawaz Sharif had an agenda of "trade and economics" ahead of his meeting with Modi on Tuesday 27 May. He said to the Hindustan Times, "I am regarded as a friend of businessmen and we are regarded as a business-frie¬nd¬ly government. Modi too is perceived as a business-frie¬ndly person. He has a model of development.. We can easily work with each other." Then he stated, "I will be happy to have Indians invest in Pakistan. We have an acute shortage of energy. If Indians come, they will find Pakistani markets very attractive, with returns as high as 30 per cent."

India has created havoc with Pakistan's water supply through its dams, causing both shortages and floods, and now the vision-less Prime Minister is offering Indian hands a strong grip over our power supply too! And whilst Pakistan's own manufacturing has been crippled by huge taxes, gas shortages, electricity shortages, rocketing power and fuel costs, the regime is cheerfully offering our huge markets to be dominated by companies from a hostile state. Nawaz Sharif has shown the current regime as being spineless before the Indian enemies, despite India's established hostility to Muslims, in Kashmir, Baluchistan, Afghanistan and within their Hindu State.

The Raheel-Nawaz regime does not care for the interests of Pakistan as it seeks to use its strengths to facilitate the rise of Indian regional hegemony. It is simply acting upon the commands of its American masters who have a vision of a regional bloc led by India, to curb the growth of both China and the Islamic revival. In compromising our security and prosperity, the Raheel-Nawaz regime has ignored the nature of the Hindu. Expecting justice from a Hindu nation whose own religious teachings openly sanction caste-based discrimination in society is nothing but naivety. As is expecting fair dealing from those self-same Hindu from whom our forefathers sought refuge through striving for Pakistan. And Hindu are mushrikeen about whom Allah (swt) warned the believers,

((مَا يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَلاَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ أَنْ يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيم))

"Neither those who followed earlier revelation who deny the truth, nor the Mushrikeen like to see good bestowed upon you from your Sustainer; but Allah bestows grace upon whom He chooses- for Allah is limitless in His great bounty." [Surah al-Baqara 2:105]
