Russia’s new counter-terrorism program
exists only to suppress the expression of Islam and terrorize Muslims
News:
On February the 12th TASS news agency reported that “a regime of counter-terrorism operation was introduced in the Khasavyurtovsky district in Russia’s North Caucasus republic of Dagestan early on Friday 0200 GMT”. Currently “almost a half of major counter-terrorism operations are carried out in Dagestan”.
Comment:
The so-called counter-terrorism campaign announced by the Russian government is in reality nothing more than an escalation of Russia’s current brutal anti-Islamic policies aimed at eliminating public/political expressions of Islam. The false account of Russian officials that they are looking after the security of the nation is contradicted in that the annual World Report from Human Right’s Watch (HRW) discusses the appalling increase in Human rights abuses that have created greater insecurity and injustice in the region. An example of these regulations is the “blogger law” that requires sites with more than 3,000 visitors a day to register with the government as mass media, which triggers government censorship. Such oppressive measures indicates that what is really being initiated is a wide scale abuse of government power, where brute force and spying are the preferred tools of control over citizens who have absolutely no allegiance to a government that masquerades under the banner of Democracy whilst hiding its true colors of totalitarianism and bigotry. How Russia ever imagines winning the hearts and minds of Muslims using the lowest of tactics is a surely a mystery to any thinking human being. Independent media reports that 31 civilians were killed in the first nine months of 2014. “Abduction-style detentions, torture, and enforced disappearances persisted in the North Caucasus, as did attacks against government critics,” With Muslims remaining unshaken by the tools of fear employed by the Russians we can see how the light of Islam and Iman carries Muslims through the darkness of fear and evil. The intellectual leadership of Islam in every region of the world it ruled is a far cry from the desperate measures used by the Russians to bring Muslims to kneel in worship to secular idols that aim to rival the righteous and superior laws of the creator of the Universe and all of Mankind. The women dawah carriers of Hizb ut Tahrir recognize the great difficulties faced by our dear brothers and sisters in Dagestan and we call upon them to be steadfast in the face of their oppressors remembering the inspiring advise of the Lord of the Worlds when He (swt) said in Surah 48 verse 18;
[لَقَدْ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذْ يُبَايِعُونَكَ تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ فَعَلِمَ مَا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ فَأَنْزَلَ السَّكِينَةَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَثَابَهُمْ فَتْحًا قَرِيبًا]
“Allah was well pleased with the believers when they swore allegiance to you under the tree. He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down tranquility upon them and He rewarded them with a speedy victory”.
