The "|Supreme Court" of the occupied Crimea, controlled by the Russian Federation, extended the arrest of six Hizb ut-Tahrir defendants until February 5. Radio Liberty reported that. 

It is noted that the “Supreme Court” rejected the appeals of the defense and left under arrest Ayder Dzhepparov, Riza Omerov, Enver Omerov, Ruslan Nagaev, Lenur Khalilov and Eskender Suleymanov, who will be in jail until February 5.

“All complaints by the court were rejected. All the main arguments that we have repeatedly stated were not taken into account,” the lawyer noted.

Earlier, it was reported that the Kyiv district court of annexed Simferopol on Friday extended the arrest of eight defendants in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case. The arrested will be in jail until February 15 of next year.

Russian security officials arrested six local residents in annexed Bakhchisarai - Timur Ibragimov, Marlen Asanov, Memet Belyalov, Seyran Saliev, Server Zekeryaev and Ernest Ametov. At the same time, on May 21, 2018, the coordinator of the Crimean Solidarity association, Mustafayev Server and Eden Smailov were also detained in Crimea. The charges against them were added to the same case.

Hizb ut-Tahrir is an international Islamic political organization that calls for the unification of all Muslim countries into a caliphate, but rejects terrorist methods of struggle. Russia recognized the organization as terrorist in 2003, the activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir in the country are prohibited. Under Ukrainian law, Hizb ut-Tahrir is a legal organization. In Western Europe and North America, it is also not prohibited, with the exception of administrative restrictions on its activities in Germany.
