Nafsiya Reflections: A Path to Victory

Allah (swt) has praised Muslims in the Holy Book of the Quran. Muslims were brought from darkness into light through the implementation of Islam through the social, economic, political, and spiritual aspect. How was Islam implemented in the lives of the Muslims? How was Nusrah given to the Prophet (saw) and for the implementation of Islam to be embarked, is there a group that is working on the same path as the Prophet (saw)?

As mentioned in the Seerah of the Prophet (saw) the Prophet (saw) had sought Nusrah (victory) numerous times in order to implement Islam to ward off any harm to him and protection in order to carry the call of his Rabb (swt), and the other to bring Islam to a position of authority and state. The call to Nusrah indicates the implementation of Islam as a ruling system. Ibn Abbas quotes Ali ibn Abi Talib who stated, “When Allah (swt) ordered the Prophet to approach the Arab tribes, I and Abu Bakr accompanied the Prophet (saw) to Mina until the court of the Arab tribes.”

It is therefore established that the command to approach the Arab tribes and seek their support, as well as the timing of this approach came from Allah (swt) as is evident from the narration of Ali ibn Abi Talib (ra) above. This again clearly shows the order that Allah (swt) ordered him (saw) to seek Nusrah. Nusrah means Good Support, in the language dictionaries. Nasr means supporting the victims of injustice, whilst Ansar means a group of those who provide support to the oppressed. The Prophet (saw) sought Nusrah from tribal leaders, which is today’s government, but refused his call during the beginning, yet he (saw) remained firm and steadfast to continue the call.

The Seerah revealed during the Hajj season RasulAllah (saw) approached anyone who occupied a position of honour and authority. The Prophet (saw) approached the Arabs during the seasons”, it says: “Ibn Ishaq said: “The Prophet (saw) persistently pursued this matter (of Nussrah and protection) whenever people met him during the (hajj) seasons, he called the tribes to Allah and to Islam and presented himself to them as well as what guidance was revealed by Allah (swt). The Prophet (saw) heard of no one of some significance and nobility visiting Makkah except that he called him to Allah and presented his call to him.”

Today, tribal leaders are not the people of power but the heads of government. How do we ask from the people of power for Nusrah in order to establish Allah’s (swt) law to be implemented throughout the Muslim Ummah as well as to give guidance to the ones who are lost throughout the world? An ideological political party, Hizb ut Tahrir, was established more than 50 years ago in order to implement the Prophet’s method in establishing the Islamic state on the method of the Prophethood. It works day and night, some members have endured torture, imprisonment, left their homes to avoid imprisonment from these tyrannical regimes all in order revive the Islamic way of life.

The task of seeking Nusrah is so important and critical, that it is on this great Shar’i command that the formation of the state depends on the rise of Allah’s banner, after it has been lost. It is required to eliminate the treachery upon treachery that confronts the Ummah, which is ruled by other than all that Allah (swt) has revealed. The Ummah has seen enough of the bloodshed, Muslim countries divided and reaped of their resources, corrupt ideas invading the minds of Muslims, Jewish entity’s occupation where innocent children continue to be killed, rape of our beloved sisters, and so much more that aches the heart to continue. People of Power rise and break from your barracks and come rescue our Ummah from humiliation.

The Hizb seeks material support from the People of Power so that they give Nusrah to Hizb ut Tahrir for the establishment of the Islamic State, the Khilafah. The People of Power must mobilize to uproot these corrupt rulers and give authority to one who pledges to rule solely by Islam based upon the Shariah and reject any man made legislation . In addition Hizb ut Tahrir works with the Ummah to impress upon the People of Power to take up this great responsibility. This is a most urgent task although its obligation is by way of methodology. The Hizb acquires ruling through the Ummah and the actions of demanding (Talab) Material Support (Nusrah). It implements the ideology in its totality, which is known as the radical (inqilaabee) method. This Method does not accept power sharing, seizing power completely as a Method to implement the ideology. It radically implements the Islamic ideology and does not accept the method of gradualism (tadreej), regardless of prevailing circumstances.

People of Power, have you forgotten the virtues of providing Nusrah? Did you forget that Allah (swt) mentioned the people of Ansar in His (swt) Sacred Book? He (swt) said about them that they are from the Sabiqoun al Awwaloon (the first ones) and is among the ones whom He (swt) is pleased with. Allah (swt) prepared for them heavens underneath which flow the rivers... their happiness is eternal.

[وَالسَّابِقُونَ الْأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارِ وَالَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي تَحْتَهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ]

“And the foremost to embrace Islâm of the Muhâjirûn (those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and the Ansâr (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhâjirûn) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allâh is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success.” [TMQ at Tawbah: 100]

The Seerah of the Prophet (saw) details the virtues of the Ansar and is known among the first heroes. Where are the Ansar, now that there is great potential for Nusrah for them to emulate the first Ansar? The doors of Nusrah have been sealed for decades, open the doors and give victory and become among the chosen ones whom Allah (swt) loves in order to implement the law of Allah (swt). Enough of the bloodshed, humiliation, economic disasters in the Muslim Ummah; may a group of Ansar finally come and rescue the Ummah from misery! Ameen.
