The ‘Dubai Step’ Uncovers the Dirt of Democracy - Only with the Islamic System can Real Stability be Achieved

News:

Malaysia: Since rumors arose that there will be a change of government through what is called the 'Dubai Step', there have already been hundreds of police reports on the issue from various parties throughout the country. According to the police, all activities related to the 'Dubai Step' can be concluded as activities that can disrupt public order and cause anxiety. What exactly is the 'Dubai Step'? The Deputy Director General of the Department of Community Communications (J-KOM), Datuk Ismail Yusop in a statement claimed the existence of a movement known as the 'Dubai Step' perpetrated by the opposition which aims to bring down the Unity Government. Ismail claimed that a meeting involving the opposition Perikatan Nasional (PN) leaders and several parties in the government was held in Dubai to discuss the number of Members of Parliament who could potentially shift their support to the opposition.

Comment:

Datuk Ismail Yusop considers the effort to topple the Unity Government through the alleged 'Dubai Step' as a treasonous movement although several well known legal practitioners have contrary opinions mentioning that this act is allowed by Article 43 of the Federal Constitution. If one observes the latest scenario where the proposal to create a new act to prevent the change of Prime Minister until the next election is held (Fixed Term Parliament Act) it is a huge possibility that this alleged 'Dubai Step' is created to play on the emotions of the people. A move like the Dubai step can cause instability and chaos in the country's administration and can undermine all the plans that the Government is currently working on. So, it is very necessary for members of parliament and the people to support the proposed new act! It is possible that this 'Dubai Step' hype is simply a political trick! That’s democracy for you!

On the contrary, the Islamic governing system (Caliphate) is totally different from the man-made system as implemented in Malaysia, which practices the Westminster-style democracy. In Islam, there is no limit to the number of political parties that can exist. However, these political parties must be based on the Islamic ideology. Political parties in the Caliphate exist for the purpose of da’wa and accounting the Caliph. No one is allowed to establish a political party that goes against the Islamic Aqeedah. Henceforth, if a Caliph has been appointed, he does not represent any party because the ideology of all political parties is the same as the ideology held by the Caliph, which is Islam. What the Caliph decides must only be based on Islam. The Caliph is obliged to implement the Sharia law fairly on all Muslims and non-Muslims. Non-Muslims will get their rights in all aspects of life that have been set by Islam as long as they obey the implementation of the Islamic system on them. Therefore, as long as the Caliph implements Islam, then everyone, including all the political parties must obey him. This means that as long as the Caliph implements the Sharia, he cannot be deposed simply due to a disagreement or a mistake, as long as Islam is still implemented. However, the Caliph can still be prosecuted in the Madzalim Court if he commits a tyranny against the people. This is what makes the Caliphate to remain stable, strong and unchallenged as long as the Caliph remains steadfast in implementing Islamic Sharia comprehensively.

Today, governments in Muslim countries are full of instabilities and tyranny because the system is inherited from the West - a system full of loopholes that has become a field of manipulation by today's leaders in order to seize power and wealth. Only by fully implementing the Islamic system will Muslims be able to see true stability.
