This blessed month of Ramadan is an ideal time for us as Muslims to reflect upon and re-evaluate our relationship with Allah (swt), and how we define what success is in life and how we achieve it. It is a month therefore that holds the potential of providing us a ‘Gateway to Success’. In the societies we live in, we are surrounded by many viewpoints, influences and pressures that can shape our view of success. This discussion will address Islam’s view on success and how we achieve this in our individual actions, our marriages, family life, financial matters and other areas of our life, as well as the correct view of the successful woman according to Islam. It will also discuss what makes a successful and progressive nation and state and what the successful recipe is to solve the multitude of political, economic and social problems that we currently face in our Muslim lands. Finally, it will discuss the characteristics required of us as Muslims to achieve victory for our Ummah and our Deen in this world?
